Diet Drinks

Ever think to yourself,
"I drink because I'm fat and I'm fat because I drink?"
Probably not, but you should.
Most cocktails have CRAZY calories.
These don't!

GIN & TONIC
Refreshment for the calorie-conscious!
  • 1 ½ oz gin
  • 5 oz diet tonic water
  • slice of fresh lime
  • glass of ice
Shake all ingredients with ice. Strain into glass of ice, garnish with lime.

MOJITO
Super cool when it's hot out!
  • 3/4 oz fresh lime juice
  • 1 packet Splenda
  • 4-5 fresh mint leaves
  • 1 ½ oz light rum
  • 2 oz club soda
  • glass of ice cubes
Pour lime juice into glass. Add mint and Splenda, stir until dissolved. Add rum and ice cubes, followed by club soda. Garnish with a fresh spring of mint.

MOSCOW MULE
Sounds dirty AND exotic.
  • 1 ½ oz vodka
  • 5 oz diet ginger ale
  • juice of 1 fresh lime
  • handful ice cubes
Add all ingredients to cocktail shaker and mix well. Strain out ice, pouring into chilled glasses.

BELLINI
Surprisingly, this is a drink, not a variety of noodle.

  • 3/4 small flute champagne
  • 1/4 flute peach puree
Spoon peach puree into bottom of champagne flute. Fill to top with champagne.

TOM COLLINS
Whoever he was, he could mix a damn fine drink.
  • 1.5 oz (3tbsp) gin (or vodka)
  • 1 oz (2tbsp) lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp Splenda or Equal
  • Club soda
  • Lemon slice for garnish
Mix gin, lemon juice, and sweetener in a glass. Add club soda to taste, and then add ice cubes. Garnish with lemon slices.

COSMO
It might be pink, but this is no sissy drink.
  • 1.5 oz or (3 tbsp) Citron vodka or regular vodka)
  • 1 oz (2 tbsp) diet cranberry juice
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 to 3 drops orange extract
  • 2 to 4 tbsp Splenda or Equal
Put the ingredients in a cocktail shaker half-full of ice. Shake well. Taste for sweetness. Add sweetener to taste. Strain into a Martini glass. Garnish with a small lime wedge or curl of lime peel.

CAIPIRINHA
Even harder to pronounce after drinking it.
  • 1 packet Splenda
  • 1 Tbsp water
  • 1 fresh lime
  • 1.5 oz (3tbsp) white rum
  • glass of ice cubes
Let lime sit to room temperature. Cut into quarters, and put in cocktail shaker, along with Splenda and water. Mash lime with the back of a wooden spoon and mix until dissolved into mush. Add rum and ice cubes, shake well. Pour into glass.
